The World of Samuel Madeleine

Furniture and Art HouseEst. 2025

The House

Samuel Madeleine is a furniture and art house founded by Madeleine and Samuel Kimball, shaped by a belief that furniture should possess the permanence of architecture and the refinement of true craftsmanship. Guided by elegance, architecture, materiality, craftsmanship, and modernity, each piece is conceived as part of a larger world rooted in atmosphere, proportion, and timeless design.

All furniture, art + objects are designed exclusively by Samuel Madeleine and available only through the house.

The Designer

Madeleine Kimball is the designer, artist, and creative force behind Samuel Madeleine. Influenced by European architecture and contemporary form, her work is defined by strong proportions, materiality, and an architectural point of view.

Furniture design sits at the center of her practice alongside photography, which extends her visual language. Across both disciplines, her work explores the tension between masculine and feminine forms, balancing strength with softness and precision.

Our origins

Samuel Madeleine was founded by husband and wife Sam and Madeleine Kimball after years spent immersed in furniture, interiors, and visualization. The two met while working together in the furniture industry, where a shared vision for design, business, and craftsmanship first took shape.

While developing Sportova, the luxury wellness and fitness design company founded by the pair, they began experimenting with visualization and imagery as a new way to present interiors and furniture. Alongside Madeleine’s creative direction, Sam brings a background in strategic business development, client relations, luxury product sales, and software development. Samuel Madeleine was formally established in 2025.

Craft and collection

Designed by Madeleine Kimball, the debut Samuel Madeleine collection includes over forty pieces spanning upholstery, tables, and casegoods. Every piece is made to order in France by the house’s master ateliers using world-class materials sourced across Europe.

From carved woods and natural stone to cast metals and hand-finished surfaces, the collection reflects a commitment to materiality, proportion, and craftsmanship. Upholstery fabrics are sourced from leading textile houses including Dedar and Zak+Fox.
