Samuel Madeleine Return And Refund Policy

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases from Samuel Madeleine / Stradmelle, LLC (“Samuel Madeleine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through https://samuelmadeleine.com, Shopify checkout, quotes, invoices, purchase orders, or any other approved sales channel.

By placing an order, approving a quote or invoice, making payment, or instructing us to proceed, you agree to this Return and Refund Policy and our Terms of Service & Full Terms of Sale.

Made-To-Order And Final Sale Policy

Samuel Madeleine products are made-to-order, special-order, imported, vendor-direct, limited-availability, vintage, antique, one-of-a-kind, or otherwise procured specifically for each customer.

Because products are made or procured specifically for you, all orders are final sale unless Samuel Madeleine expressly approves otherwise in writing or a refund is required by applicable law.

Once an order is placed, a quote or invoice is approved, payment is made, production begins, procurement begins, a vendor order is placed, inventory is reserved, or Samuel Madeleine otherwise incurs costs, the order may not be cancelled, changed, returned, refunded, or exchanged unless Samuel Madeleine approves the request in writing.

No Automatic Cancellation Rights

Customer-requested cancellations, substitutions, finish changes, specification changes, shipping changes, delivery changes, or service changes are not guaranteed.

If Samuel Madeleine approves a cancellation, change, return, refund, or exchange as an exception, the customer remains responsible for all nonrecoverable costs, including vendor charges, production costs, procurement costs, payment processing fees where permitted, administrative costs, original freight, return freight, white-glove delivery, storage, insurance, tariffs, duties, customs charges, brokerage fees, taxes, and any other costs incurred.

Restocking And Cancellation Fees

Any approved return, cancellation, refund, or exchange may be subject to a restocking or cancellation fee of up to 100% of the product purchase price, depending on the stage of production, vendor terms, recoverable value, resaleability, and costs already incurred.

Samuel Madeleine may deny any return, cancellation, refund, or exchange request that would cause Samuel Madeleine to absorb nonrecoverable vendor, production, shipping, tariff, customs, administrative, or related costs.

Nonrefundable Charges

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Samuel Madeleine in writing, the following charges are not refundable:

  • Original shipping
  • Delivery
  • Freight
  • White-glove delivery
  • Return shipping
  • Insurance
  • Tariffs
  • Duties
  • Customs charges
  • Brokerage fees
  • Import fees
  • Storage fees
  • Payment processing fees where permitted
  • Taxes where not recoverable
  • Other non-product charges

Eligible approved refunds, if any, are limited to recoverable product purchase amounts after deduction of applicable costs, fees, and nonrefundable charges.

Return Requests

For any return that Samuel Madeleine approves in writing, the customer must request return approval within 14 days after receipt.

Products must be unused, undamaged, complete, unaltered, and in original packaging. No product may be returned without written authorization from Samuel Madeleine.

Unauthorized returns may be refused, returned to sender, stored at customer expense, or disposed of to the extent permitted by law.

Condition Of Returned Products

Returned products, if accepted, are subject to inspection. Samuel Madeleine may deny a refund or reduce any refund if the product is used, damaged, altered, incomplete, missing packaging, improperly packed, damaged in return transit, or otherwise not in resalable condition.

The customer is responsible for return packing, return freight, insurance, and risk of loss during return shipping unless Samuel Madeleine states otherwise in writing.

Damaged, Lost, Or Missing Shipments

Shipping and delivery are performed by third-party carriers, freight companies, delivery providers, couriers, installers, contractors, or other independent providers unless Samuel Madeleine expressly states otherwise in writing.

Samuel Madeleine is not responsible for third-party shipping damage, loss, delay, misdelivery, missed delivery appointments, carrier handling issues, or other shipping problems caused by third-party carriers or delivery providers.

If a third-party shipping issue occurs, Samuel Madeleine will make reasonable efforts to assist with documentation, communication, and carrier claim coordination. Carrier claim approval, timing, investigation, and remedy are controlled by the carrier, insurer, freight company, delivery provider, vendor, or manufacturer and are not guaranteed by Samuel Madeleine.

Customers must inspect all packaging and products upon delivery. Visible damage, missing items, suspected shortage, or damaged packaging must be noted on the carrier receipt, delivery paperwork, bill of lading, or proof of delivery before signing. Concealed damage must be reported to Samuel Madeleine in writing within 48 hours after delivery, with photos, a description of the issue, and photos of all packaging. Customer must retain all packaging until the claim is resolved.

Failure to timely inspect, document, and report damage or shortage may limit or prevent a carrier, vendor, insurance, or warranty claim.

Refund Timing

Refunds, if any, are issued only after written approval, receipt of the returned product if applicable, inspection, and confirmation of recoverable amounts.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on payment processor, bank, card issuer, Shopify, or other third parties.

Gift Cards

Gift cards, if offered, are handled according to applicable law and any posted gift card terms.
