Inspired by the tailoring fabrics in vogue in the 40’s and 50’s, Bouratino is characterized by a wild bourette silk weave that is bulky, uneven, open and matt, making the fabric surface irregular and nubby in appearance. The wide colour range is one of luminous shades with bicoloured or contrasting tone on tone effects.

Note: The precious raw silk yarns of artisanal production are characterized by inevitable colour and texture irregularities, which in some cases may be more evident when the fabric is hung against the light. For this reason, we recommend checking the fabric carefully before cutting and sewing.

Exuberant velvet in kid mohair

Exuberance and voluptuousness animate a precious kid mohair velvet, whose long pile arouses an irresistible desire to touch it. This is a textile “fur” that depends entirely on a shearing process. Interpreted in white as pure as lamb’s fleece, as well as other fresh luminous shades, it transforms interiors with bold refinement. Ideal for upholstery, it opens to new imaginations of use.

Note: The fine undyed natural yarns create a fabric that may show inevitable color variations, which indicates the uniqueness of this product. In lighter shades, slightly darker threads may be visible. With use and in the course of time and during storage and rolling, velvet pile may crush. To restore its original appearance, it is advisable to vaporize slightly at a distance of 20 cm, and then to brush the fabric. The fabric will be delivered on a roll with the pile facing outward.
